We are introducing Suomi.fi e-Identification for employers
We will start using Suomi.fi e-Identification in the employer’s online service as of 19 December 2023. This means that, starting on that date, you will be able to log in to the service using your personal online banking codes or a mobile certificate. For that purpose, you will need either a register role or a mandate granted in Suomi.fi e-Authorizations.
You will no longer need to remember the user ID and password for the employer’s service, because from now on you can access the service using strong identification. For that, you must have a mandate to act online on behalf of the company. You will get the mandate either automatically based on your register role or by requesting a mandate in Suomi.fi e-Authorizations.
Automatic access based on your register role
If you have a role that entitles you to represent the company in the Trade Register or the Register of Associations, you can access our service automatically using your personal means of identification. On our instructions page, you can look up what information you can see in our service based on your register role.

If you need a Suomi.fi mandate
If you do not have a register role that entitles you to carry out transactions, you need a Suomi.fi mandate in order to act on behalf of the company. There are six different mandates available in our service, from which you can choose the extent of access rights that suits you based on your work role. To get the mandate, request it in the Suomi.fi service. Read about our service’s mandate themes on our website, choose the suitable mandate for your work role and request it in the Suomi.fi service.

Your accounting agency will also need a Suomi.fi mandate
If an accounting agency is handling your company’s TyEL matters, grant them a Suomi.fi mandate. You can do so by having your accounting agency send you a mandate request and approving it, or you can grant the mandate independently. Consult with your accounting agency about what to do.

Take care of your Suomi.fi mandates as soon as possible
We recommend that you take care of your Suomi.fi mandates as soon as possible, as they make carrying out transactions on behalf of the company easy and secure. For the time being, however, you can continue using the old user IDs and passwords alongside the Suomi-fi e-Identification to gain access to our service.
What is Suomi.fi?
Suomi.fi e-Identification is a shared identification service of public administration e-services. It gives all our customers easy and secure access to our services using their own online banking codes or a mobile certificate. Once you have identified yourself in our service, you will also be able to use other electronic services of public administration with the same login for 30 minutes.
What are the benefits of Suomi.fi e-Identification?
- The Suomi.fi service is an easy way for you, as the company’s decision-maker, to manage who can carry out transactions on behalf of your company.
- As a user, you can easily navigate the various parts of the online service and switch from one user role to the next. With the same login, you can act on behalf of your employer company first and then move on to your personal pension matters.
- You will no longer need separate user IDs or passwords.
