Remuneration at Ilmarinen
Our remuneration and incentive systems aim at encouraging our employees to achieve Ilmarinen’s long-term goals by operating in line with our values. In our remuneration, we acknowledge that the purpose of an earnings-related pension insurance company’s operations is to provide statutory pension insurance, which is part of social security. Our remuneration is governed by the provisions concerning remuneration laid down in the Finnish Act on Employment Pension Insurance Companies.
Remuneration principles
Remuneration at Ilmarinen:
- supports the company’s strategic goals and long-term interests, and the implementation of its values
- is coherent and open and designed to encourage excellent performance
- is responsible and in line with good risk management
- is competitive but reasonable.

The information provided in the declarations and reports is based on the Act on Employment Insurance Companies, on the Financial Supervisory Authority’s regulations and guidelines and on the Corporate Governance Code for listed companies which we abide by voluntarily as applicable to the operations of an earnings-related pension insurance company.
